  • The LTC is directly involved with other timber industry groups to preserve the forest products industry in the NW. We have sent members to D.C. to participate in the Alliance for America Fly In For Freedom.
  • The LTC Membership & Equipment book is published annually. It includes membership listing, type of equipment operated, locations by chapter of log dumps and supplier member locations. It is mailed to approximately 500 loggers throughout the state, and given to members at no charge.
  • The LTC maintains a close working relationship with the WSP, USDOT and other local, state & federal agencies.
  • The LTC/WTA provides a quality group medical insurance plan with options available to meet your needs.
  • The LTC was successful in getting the 68-foot point of measurement changed on log truck supertrain combinations.
  • The LTC worked closely with the Washington Prorate and Federal Tax services section to implement a change which allows self loaders to claim a 20% refund on state fuel taxes paid.
  • The LTC provides a quality group log truck insurance plan which is competitively priced and assures minimal down time, along with other significant benefits.
  • The LTC/WTA drug and alcohol testing programs are the best in the industry, and provide absolute certainty of compliance for members.
  • The LTC/WTA has one of the top lobbyists in Olympia in Mr. Larry Pursley. Larry has been instrumental in gaining beneficial legislation while protecting our industry from detrimental legislation.

Formed in 1952:
The LTC was formed in 1952 by a few far sighted members of the log trucking industry. The LTC has its own constitution and bylaws, officers and board of directors and maintains complete autonomy. We also have representation on the board of directors and committees of the Washington Trucking Associations and take part fully in formation of policy and direction of our industry's programs.

Monthly Chapter meetings are held throughout the state. Click here to view the Meeting Schedule.
